Several Departments Jointly Inspect the Total Emission Reduction of Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical Company Limited (SPC) in Shanghai
Recently, Shanghai Environmental Protection Bureau, Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, Shanghai Environmental Monitoring Center, and Environmental Protection Inspection Corps of Shanghai jointly inspected the total emission reduction of SPC for the first half of the year.
The inspection results show that the total emissions of four major pollutants, i.e. COD (chemical oxygen demand), ammonia nitrogen, sulfur dioxide and nitric oxides by SPC in the first half of the year are all consistent with the progress of total emission reduction indexes as specified in the 2015 responsibility statement for environment protection of SPC.
The inspection team was also divided into two groups to check the operation conditions of emission reduction facilities installed on the plants of the thermoelectricity department and the environmental protection and water service department.
